Dear
Brodie
My
Mum and Dad got me your two adventures for Christmas and
I am loving them. It is really cool to read about
someone with the same name as me.
Take care
Brodie (aged 7 1/2)

Hi
Brodie
Wow,
another Brodie! Cool name, and very nice to meet
you. I'm glad you're enjoying my adventures.
Which are your favourite characters (apart from me, that
is)? Thanks for contacting me and be sure to
keep in touch.
Stay
safe
Brodie

Hello
Just
realised we share the same name how cool is that?
And the young girl you meet - Erin - might be my
sister's name. How weird and oh, do you like
football?

Hello
Brodie
Man,
it's weird calling someone else Brodie and having a
sister called Erin. Cool names though. Does
you sister have red hair just like me and
Erin?
I've
tried playing football with Erin - but, I keep stubbing
my toes. It's really sore. I like watching
it on the TV though - when Erin lets me. But,
isn't it weird that everyone is chasing one ball?
I said they should all kick one each, but Erin wasn't
too happy with me and said, what do I know! Those
nasty little critters, the boglouts, who cause trouble
in my adventures - well they play football a lot and
quite often burst the ball with their sharp black
talons. They're really scary.
Do
you play football? What's your favourite
team?
Keep
in touch, and be sure to enter my competition. I
really don't know what my Christmas tree should look
like.

I
am a primary teacher and we're using Brodie and the
Secret of Loch Ness as our book study this term. I
was wondering if you are having any competitions soon
because primary 7 would love to enter.
Thank you

Dear
Miss Redpath
Thank
you for contacting Brodie. A special Competion is now available and both adventures are
up for grabs. Brodie wants to decorate a tree for
Christmas, but he just doesn't know how to do it.
He's looking for colourful drawings of how a haggis tree
should look. The one that he chooses will receive
his Christmas set of books. Good luck everyone and
all entries will be posted on his website.
Brodie
also wants to know what everyone likes best about
Christmas. Be sure to email
him.

Dear
Brodie
As
I'm only 3 years old Granny is sending this e-mail for
me. Your stories are great, Granny has read me both
books......twice. I think she likes the stories as much
as I do. Can granny buy me the stories on CD?
Brodie

Dear
Brodie
Wow
- you have the same name as me! Cool. In
Dunroamin, no other haggis has the same name as
me. I'm so glad that you (and your Granny) like my
stories. Erin keeps promising to put my stories on
CD, but she hasn't managed to yet. But she's still
thinking about doing it and when she does, I'll be
sure to let you know.
Thanks
for getting in contact and I hope your Granny has tried
my Brodie's
Brainy Buddy questions to get a certificate for your
wall.
Take
care.

Dear
Brodie
Since
you have so many adventures you must never be bored. But
if you ever are bored what do you do? I'm bored
sometimes and I can never think of what to do. Can you
help me?
Thank you Brodie
(I hope I'm not bothering you again)
Beki
Edinburgh
Dear
Beki
You're
never bothering me. The only person who bothers me
is Gertruda McNorris ... or should I say witch! I
just don't seem to have time to be bored lately.
But I have been bored and what I normally do then is to
go and see my friends and we play hide and seek or we
just run and jump through the heather and play
tag. Before I know it, it's normally time to go
home and I've forgotten my boredom. If my friends
are busy, then I just usually go and help Mum in The
Bothy or do one of my hobbies, like counting the number
of different colour of butterflies I see in a day.
I hope you don't get bored too much and if you've got a
good hobby, then you'll never be bored. Sometimes
I say I'm bored because I can't really
be bothered doing anything ... so I normally try and put
on a big smile to shake off my boredom. When
Erin's bored, she watches the television, but when I'm
there, it makes me bored so I always ask her to switch
it off and ask her lots of questions about
Nessie.
Keep
smiling

Dear
Brodie
The
book was brilliant! I really believed it was true
because of the detailed descriptions! Everything tied in
with reality and it made the book amazingly believable
and perhaps it is true! Finally, a mythical and yet
fictional book based in Scotland.
Beki
Edinburgh
Dear Beki
Thank you for taking the time
to write to me. Erin says there is a magnificent
castle in Edinburgh where you stay. I love
castles. I am so glad that you enjoyed the book. I
am still in my third adventure and it all feels just
as real as the first and second adventures. But
there is more trouble on its way - I just hope I can
beat Gertruda.
Keep smiling.

Hi
Brodie
I
got the books as a present. I really like both of
the books and I can't stop reading them when I
start. I have lots of pictures in my head of
Brodie and his friends and enemies. My friends
want to see more pictures, but I like it without
pictures because the pictures are in my head.
When
can I read the next adventure? I want to see what
happens to Brodie and Erin. And Booger and
Gnogard. Do Big Bag and Knobbly Knees come back
again?

Dear Sophie
So glad that you like my
adventures. I get really scared sometimes, but Erin
and my friends are there to help me. It will be a
bit longer before you can read about my next adventure
because I'm still in it ... I don't know what is going
to happen to Gertruda - but I have to stop
her from completing her mission.
Keep watching my website for
news.
Stay safe, Brodie

Hello
Brodie
I
have just finishing reading the Scotch Mist to my three
grandchildren and they loved it. I did too.
Please be careful in your next adventure - we are
worried about you Brodie.

Dear Steph
Don't worry too much, I'm ok
really. Oh dear ... something's coming. Help
... will be back soon ... gotta hide ...

Hello
Brodie
My
sister and I have just read your new book. It is
really exciting and we can't wait to find out what
happens in the next one. You and Erin are so
brave. We don't like Big Bag and Knobbly Knees
because they are really mean and they steal. I
hope you can save the haggis from extinction. We really
loved your visit to Skibo Castle - and Charlie
Boo. He's so cool.
Melanie,
Fife
Age

Dear Melanie
I'm working hard to save the
haggis from extinction. It's pretty scary
stuff. I hope I meet Big Bag and Knobbly Knees
again - I'll turn them into heather!
Charlie Boo is a strange
little mist spirit. But, he's ok really .
I get really dizzy just watching his eyes roll around
in his head. He's funny.

Hello
Brodie
My
name is Hee Jung. My teacher is from Scotland and she
reads us the funny book of Loch Ness. We love your
book thank you. My friends say they like your book
too.
Hee Jung
Beijing, China
Dear Hee Jung
Thank you for your message.
Wow, I can't believe that you are so far away in
Beijing and that you are reading my book. I'm
really glad that you and your friends are enjoying it.
I hope it is making you laugh as well.
My next book is nearly ready
and is just as funny and is full of lots of mystery
and new friends. I visit Skibo Castle in this
adventure and meet lots of really weird faeries.
Some nice, and some not so nice.
Please keep in touch with me
and tell me some stories from Beijing.
Love from Brodie xx

Dear
Brodie
I am so excited. Father Christmas dropped off a late
Christmas present at my grandma and grandpa's house; it
was your book. I'm so excited and can't wait for
my mummy to help me to read the 1st chapter tonight.
I've been to Caithness (Thurso) and Orkney 4 times and I
have never seen you, so the next time that I am up I am
going to come and look for you so that you will have two
friends called Erin.
I have to go and have my tea now Brodie, but really
can't wait to read about all your adventures.
Lots of love

Hi
Erin-Cait
What
a brill name. My best friend is called Erin - but
you know that already. Great to hear that Father
Christmas dropped you off one of my books. He's
been dropping off a few. Sorry I missed you when
you were up here - but if you let me know next
time. I hope you like it up in this part of the
world. It's beautiful ... especially in the
summer. Plenty of heather to hide in (and eat).
I
hope you like my adventures. I'm getting ready for
my next one which is out in April. Keep in touch
and let me know how you are enjoying my story.
Have
you tried my questions on The
Bothy pages? Just click on 'Brodie's Brainy
Buddies'. You can print your own
certificate with your name on it if you get all the
questions right.
Good
luck.
Lots
of loves and hugs

Hi
again Brodie, how marvellous to hear that your next tale
(do haggis have tails?) will be out in a few months! Put
me down for one!
Cheers and love to Erin,
Ann, Thurso
Ps I think I must be your oldest reader going by the
ages given out in your letters so far! xx
Hi
Ann
Great
to hear from you again. No, haggises don't have
tails, but I've got plenty of tales! Yes, my new
adventure will be out in April, so I'm really busy just
now getting ready for that and doing all that media
stuff <sigh>.
Keep
in touch
